About Us
Iman Islamic College is one of the few and the leading Islamic college in Ethiopia. Since its inception in 2010, G.C. it has been committed to propagating Islamic teaching and values by carrying out its tasks with academic excellence, ethics, and a sense of responsibility. Since then, it has successfully graduated over 20,000 students. These graduates have not only learned knowledge, but also the values of compassion, integrity, and service to society.
The college has been steadily expanding its presence across the country. It presently has many branches in the capital city of Addis Abeba as well as in Adama, Dessei, Dire Dawa, and Jigjiga. Most programs also offer an online option.
Programs
Currently, IIC provides a variety of academic programs and short courses in Islamic Studies, Arabic Studies, Classical Islamic Studies, Islamic Studies in Local Languages, Islamic Finance and Banking, and a Special Program for deaf students. Subjects include the science of reading the holy Qura’n (tajweed), Islamic creed (aqidah), exegesis of the Quran (Tafsir), Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh), principles of Islamic jurisprudence (usul-al-fiqh), hadith, the science of hadith (ulum al-hadith), Islamic ethics (akhlaq & adab), purification of the self (tazkiyah), Arabic language, classical Arabic morphology (sarf), classical Arabic grammar (nahw), sirah, Islamic thought, history, etc. .
